Canterbury - an English city steeped in history dating back over 2000 years. Julius Caesar was just one of its famous visitors. There's the magnificent Cathedral - Canterbury is
still the centre of Christianity in England - plus the remains of an 11th century castle and the ruins of St. Augustine's Abbey. And so much more.
Then on to Dover and the White Cliffs. Dover is England's front door - unless you fly in, of course - millions of people pass through every year. Its history is as old as Canterbury's.
The castle, dating from the 12th century, has a well 289 feet deep that is older than the castle itself. On the roof are gun emplacements set up during the Napoleonic Wars. There are daily tours of the castle.
